Walk to the Future Update
I am delighted to advise that we have completed our sponsored event, “Walk to the Future”. We walked to the Capital Phnom Penh, starting at Kampong Chhnang, which is approximately 115km to the North West.
The walk was indeed challenging, along the edge of busy highways, in very hot temperatures and at times, torrential rain.
Should you wish to donate and support our projects going forward, please donate here or contact us below
The route of this walk was very significant. It was the same route that Nuon Sothero (president of FLO), his mother and FLO’s founder, Nuon Phaly (and many others) made when the people of Cambodia were repatriated after the Khmer Rouge campaign was overthrown – it was an honour and privilege to walk alongside Nuon Sothero and his colleague, Yit Virasy.
What will funds raised be used for:-
This event was in support of the Future Light Organization (FLO). They provide, food, shelter and education to 75 orphaned, vulnerable or abandoned children. FLO is a special place. The quality of education and care is exceptional.
The funds raised, among other things, will be used to support FLO’s running costs by providing water/electricity, fire wood, healthcare & hygienic supplies. We have seen first-hand how the children of FLO have flourished under the care and support offered by FLO.
