Work experience opportunity at Singapore and presentation to staff
Three pupils from the Future Light Organization, all in their second year at university at the time of writing, were invited to Singapore by Howden Broking Group to take part in a work experience placement.

During their time with Howden, the girls met staff from across the business and gained insight into how an international insurance broker operates. They learned about the wide range of roles that exist within a global organisation and how different teams work together.

They approached every task and discussion with enthusiasm, engaged confidently with staff, and quickly settled into the working environment.
Towards the end of the placement, Matt Baker and Nuon So Thero joined the group in Singapore and delivered a presentation to more than 90 Howden colleagues. The session shared Thero’s life story and Matt’s work supporting vulnerable children in Cambodia through Little Acorns.
This experience was a valuable opportunity for the pupils and marked the beginning of what Little Acorns hopes will develop into a long-term and meaningful relationship.
