Support for families in Cambodia displaced by conflict

Matt Baker and Nuon So Thero visited 16 families who had been displaced by conflict along the Cambodian–Thai border and were temporarily residing in Tbong Khmum, Siem Reap, and Kampot.

During these visits, essential supplies were distributed, including noodles, salt, cooking oil, and basic medical items, helping to meet immediate needs at a difficult time.

Many of the families had been forced to leave their homes with little notice, leaving most of their belongings behind. Several women were heavily pregnant, adding to the urgency of the situation. While modest, this practical support was an important way to provide comfort and reassurance, and to let the families know they had not been forgotten during a period of significant uncertainty and distress.
